1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DBJ Knowledge Exchange, operated by the Development Bank of Jamaica ("DBJ", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of service
DBJ Knowledge Exchange is a knowledge platform that provides case studies, sector reports, data packs, playbooks, and related materials drawn from Jamaica's development finance context. Features and content available to you depend on your subscription tier and any applicable institutional arrangement.
3. Accounts and registration
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or abuse risk.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and payment
Paid plans are billed annually through Stripe unless otherwise stated. Prices and plan features are described on the pricing page and may change for future renewal periods. You may cancel in accordance with the cancellation options available in your account or by contacting us. Refunds, where offered, follow the refund policy stated on the platform at the time of purchase.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the platform for lawful professional and research purposes consistent with your subscription. You may not redistribute paywalled content, scrape or systematically download the library, attempt to circumvent access controls, share login credentials beyond what your plan allows, or use the service in a way that harms DBJ, other users, or the integrity of the platform.
6. Intellectual property
DBJ and its licensors retain all rights in the platform and its content. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use content for your internal professional purposes, subject to these Terms. Access does not transfer ownership of any content, trademarks, or software.
7. Disclaimers
Content is provided for informational purposes. It does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or other professional advice. DBJ does not warrant that content is complete, current, or suitable for any particular decision. You are responsible for how you interpret and apply information from the library.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DBJ and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the platform. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid to us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Jamaica have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you.
10. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use of the platform after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
